They say that you can't catch a cold from being out in the rain. Colds are caused by viruses, not by droplets of atmospheric moisture. Unfortunately, I have a cold today after being out in the rain last night. And none of my excellent scientific education will make me _really_ believe that the two aren't connected. :)

I wonder if my life would look different if the years didn't stretch out before me like the endless night sky, with possibilities as many as stars. Maybe I should put this in context. I saw The Shipping News last night. The main character was, well, pathetic. (Maybe I'm just a tad unsympathetic.)

I _have_ to stop eating chocolate ice-cream! :)
