... is going to bed for no more than an hour at a time, no more than twice a day, and trying to make intelligent and original arguments in your essay at the same time.

I have an extension, due to the shenanigaans that have been happening around here. That's good for the essay. It's bad because I promised to spend today with Will and my essay is one of the few things which takes priority. Well obviously he's pissed off. And I'm pissed off because he is.

In other news, today is the day of the Victorian election. The Liberals are looking very bad. I don't know. The options are crappy: logging in the Otways (Liberals) or higher density housing in the city and suburbs (Labor). I guess I'd rather keep the damage to already built-up areas and retain what's left of the wilderness. You'd have to be an idiot to log water catchments in the predicted long-term drought anyway. Yes, I'm a lunatic socialist greenie. What's your point?

from someone who has an academic for a partner. Stay out of their hair & let them do what they need to do. Believe me, anything else could cause some resentment & make for some uncertain futures. The only thing you need to ask in return is that they respect (& give you time if needed) whatever it is you decide to do in the meantime.

I'm quite proud of my partners academic achievements (though I don't understand them), I hope you will be too.
