Nov. 17th, 2002 06:35 pmWell, I've finished revising for copyright. It now makes a lot more sense. Somehow, I always seem to get the start and end of topics while missing out the middle. Now I just have to read all the patents stuff. Good thing: very few sections of relevant legislation. Bad thing: lots and lots of nasty cases. I'm slowly working through my taped lectures, but I stopped at about week 9 coz I forgot the tapes/batteries/recorder. So I don't have the all important business methods lecture. Grrr. And we KNOW it's on the exam. But it should be okay, all in all, patents make much more sense to me than copyright, which IMHO is evil and should be overthrown.
My essay is not, however, progressing anywhere. However, having been reminded by Sunny that it's only a 5000 word essay on Friday, I'm less stressed. It can't be that hard to get 65%, especially from Tim Lindsey. (I mean, the guy let me write an essay topic. And it has about as little to do with law as you can imagine.) I also have to go to work tomorrow. *sigh* We finally got the automatic testing script stuff working, so now I have to automate all those very very boring tests I do.
Speaking of Sunny, we had dinner on Friday. Now, this is momentous because: 1) she emailed me, 2) neither of us cancelled, 3) we actually talked properly again, 4) I seem to be over this intense (insane) jealousy thing. Praise the Lord (or the deity of your choice). It's always been one of those friendships that I wished I could retrieve. Anyway, I now have a tiny bottle of perfume and a mysterious envelope in my packing pile that says "OPEN IN CANADA!!!" *bounces excitedly* So it's been a good month - also caught up with Elissa before she left for Europe, Eric wants to keep in touch. Now I just need to check on Shannon and Tamsin before I go.
