Wednesday I had my first belly dancing class. Well, kind of belly dancing. It's called raqs sharif - an Egyptian style. The classes are a good deal - four hour-long classes for $5. (Yes, that's Australian.) I guess it's an introductory, let's-get-you-hooked deal. So far it's not working that well. The steps aren't all that fascinating, to be honest, although I guess it'll do wonders for my tummy muscles if I keep it up. I dunno. I'll see how flamenco goes on Monday. I have to say though, I want one of the noisy scarf/skirts with coins hung all over it so that tinkle when you shake your hips! *grins*
Managed to convince Will to drive me home on Wednesday after karate. Maybe I should stop that. Although it was a miserable rainy night, and it's not likely to happen again since he usually goes to volleyball afterwards.
Went to the zoo yesterday with Will, Melz (this used to be Mel2, because of my parents' severe insanity - called their daughters Melissa and Melanie, but somehow mutated into Melz), and Andrew (Melz's friend from NYSF).
Bizarre fact: Will's dad gave a lecture at NYSF this year. Apparently it quite impressed my sister.
Aaaargh. Too much Will. I sound like a soppy 16 year old. Gotta go have a shower and get to SAIL
