It was a nice productive weekend. The nice bit was that the house was extraordinarily tidy (due to an inspection on Wednesday morning), so there wasn't too much cleaning to be done. This left time for sleeping in, as well as some gardening, a couple of loads of laundry, interesting email discussions, and finishing off the website that I'm building for a friend. I guess I should call her a client, but really, I don't think of her that way because she's a friend first, an excellent chef second, and a fascinating person with good advice as well. I just need to package it up and load it somewhere private for her to approve and then it can go live.

The blueberries are ripening rapidly. The first flush of strawberries appears to have calmed down. The coriander, having grown to a ridiculous height (a metre!) has fallen over into a beautiful fountain of delicate feathery leaves and masses of tiny white flowers. We ate a carrot! A home-grown carrot! It was a little carrot, but still. The basil is doing well, both the remnants of the store-bought pot and my seedlings. (As an aside, I think the key to basil seedlings is waiting until it's reasonably warm to start them.)

Punctuality update: Early yesterday (15 min), early today (5 min). I'm impressed with myself because Connex stuffed up the trains again today with random announcements. Not so good when you're changing trains. But since I was on the early train, it meant that I could swap over to a tram and make it here, still early.
