This made me really sad today. I've got a permanent tutor kid now - her name's Elizabeth, and she's six. Anyway, we finally got some time to talk while she was colouring in the worksheet. The worksheet basically said "Draw what you're wearing and label it". And she said "I'm not wearing socks". The reason: she'd lost them or her sister took them, and her parents don't have money to buy more. I nearly cried.
