msssLong day today. Went to a meeting with Damien (QA Group leader) to go over the work that we have to do over the next week or so. I have to write a Software Configuration Management Plan, which specifies how changes to things will be made. For example, in order to change the SQAP, they have to email the group their proposed changes and then get the approval of the Configuration Control Board (CCB). Then the SQAP manager will make the changes and email out an update to everyone that tells them what has changed. I also have to write a review and audit plan which sets out how the QA group is going to be doing reviews and audits this year. Shouldn't be too hard, the standards are pretty specific. Just time consuming. I'm also doing a SQAP update to reflect the team reviews that just came in, as well as a general clean up (even the second draft wasn't all that brilliant).
Anyway, we had a team meeting after that. I think we are about to implement the fines system. Come late to a meeting without notifying someone, get fined. Don't come at all without notifying someone, get fined more. If you're chairing a meeting and don't turn up, get fined lots (since everyone else has to turn up but can't have the meeting without you). Don't do something that has a high priority on time, get fined. This sounds like quite a profitable enterprise... *grin*
After that I went to my belly dancing class. Much better than last time. My hips are actually managing a sort of shiver for about 5 seconds, as opposed to completely locking up when I suggested the idea. Very cool.
I faced a nemesis of mine today. I went and caught up with an old friend. That doesn't sound that scary, I know. But she's a Christian. To be precise, a bible-basher. I've been avoiding her for a couple of years now. But it was good to catch up. No nasty conversion questions. Which was really good, because while I'm confused and have stuff I will want to ask people, I'm fairly private about religion. I like to sit and think about my questions without pressure.
Anyway, I'd better go do some work. Night, all.
