It sucks on so many levels that it's amazing that you didn't notice.
Vista is incredibly slow. Why on earth would you allow retailers to sell it on basic laptops where users are inevitably going to be disappointed? (And when I say a basic laptop, I mean it. Although it's still a shiny new Dell and vastly more powerful than its predecessor, so it should not be slower!)
The Office 2007 ribbon interface was a stupid idea. Your overriding strength in the word processing and spreadsheet market stems from the fact that 90% of office workers knew how to use the interface in Word and Excel. Personally, I've used them for over a decade - I know lots of tricks and shortcuts that made Word and Excel the most efficient software for me to use. You've just chucked that out.
I am being forced to learn your crappy new interface, which does not provide backwards compatibility. I can't find anything. I should not have to waste time searching for things that I already knew how to do. If I wanted to learn a new interface, I would have downloaded OpenOffice. In fact, I think I'll just revert to the last version of Word.
