This (long) weekend's project was unearthing the floor in our room. No, seriously. There were whole patches of darkness where light hadn't been seen for months.

I've been reading David Allen's Getting Things Done books. They're amazing. It seems so obvious... and yet, the process has really paid off for me. Besides, Simon Hackett reads them. And Joel Spolsky says that he's always looking for people who are smart and get things done. So yeah...

We have a floor!

Things done or not done:

We have also finally posted all those thank you cards, which needed envelopes around the envelopes with seals, plus a number of photo prints. There are now only the two Chinese ones left to write. This is hard, given I know about fifteen words in Chinese. It's true that one of them is "thank you", but given that it's also my surname, I'm not sure that's really an achievement. But I did buy a Chinese dictionary last week, so we'll give it a go.

We did not, alas, make it to swimming this weekend. But it rained heavily on Saturday morning, so the water tank is full again. Also, Eric did an amazing day of dishes yesterday.

Things to do:

Research MBAs before tomorrow
Ironing
Laundry
Go to work! Aaaaarrgh! I'm late....
