Well, well, well...

I'm back in Toronto, suffering the heat and lack of electricity like everyone else. :)

It's been an exciting and thought-provoking three months. I've hit all the provinces in Canada, making notes of places to go back to (a very long list!), and made it up to the Yukon and Alaska. But I lost my paper journal in Tofino, Vancouver Island, so I'm in the long and slow process of rewriting it. When I have, though, I will type it up and post it.

Revelations.

I don't want to be a lawyer. Sure, I'd like to do something where I can use those legal research and writing skills, maybe working for the government in administrative areas or for a company complying with legislative requirements, but I don't want to be a lawyer in a big law firm.

It was never going to work with Scott. We're just too different in our attitudes to life. Sure, we might be able to work it out as a compromise, but it'd mean a hell of a lot of changes for both of us. At some point, I guess you just need to say that it's not going to work.

I want to spend more time in true wilderness - Alaska, Yukon - in winter.

I'm coming back to Canada! :)
